Admission Process
DU is highly selective and it is considered very competitive to secure admission in DU. Delhi University admission process 2020 is different for entrance-based and merit-based programmes. However, all the aspirants must register on a centralised admission portal available on the official website during the admission cycle to apply for a programme. For online registration, an applicant must fill in the application form and pay the application fee to complete the process.
Admission to merit-based courses depends on the ‘best of four’ aggregate obtained by the applicant in the higher secondary qualifying exam. Admission to entrance-based programmes is done considering the candidate’s performance in the entrance examination such as Delhi University Entrance Test 2020 (DUET), Delhi University Joint Admission Test 2020 (DU-JAT) or Delhi University LLB Entrance Exam 2020 and a Personal Interview (PI). Admission to MPhil and PhD programme is based on scores obtained in the university-based entrance test, followed by a personal interview (PI). UGC NET/ CSIR NET qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test and called directly for PI round.
