The University of Washington is regarded amongst the best public universities to study in the Seattle region. The university was found in the year 1861. Within their campus, the University of Washington also operates an early entrance program and Transition school, since the year 1977. The University of Washington has also been a member of the American Association of Universities for several years in continuation. The main campus of the University has a total area of about 703 acres in Seattle. The main campus is located on the banks of Union and Portage bays where one may get the beautiful view of Cascade Range towards the east and towards the west, there are the Olympic Mountains. In addition to the main campus, there are two more campuses of the University located in Bothell and Tacoma. One of the perks of the University of Washington is that students are under no compulsory obligation to live within the campus.
