The Savitribai Phule Pune University (UNIPUNE) located at Pune, was established in 1949 through Poona University Act and is one of the premier universities in India. It is popularly known as the ‘Oxford of the East’. The University was accredited ‘A’ grade by NAAC and was ranked at 10th position by National Institutional Research Framework (NIRF) in 2021. It is a UGC-recognised University. The University houses 46 academic departments, 12 faculties and 52 research centers.
