Admission Process

NMIMS Mumbai admission process for all the UG, PG, doctoral, diploma and certificate programmes is completely online. Candidates are required to apply on the official website of the deemed-to-be University and then appear for the course-specific admission process. Details around the admission process for top courses offered by NMIMS Mumbai are listed below:

UG courses

• Admission to a few of the UG programmes, such as BSc (Applied Statistics & Analytics) and Integrated MSc in Biomedical Science, is based on the merit performance of candidates in Class 12 as per the set eligibility criteria

• For BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons), admission to eligible candidates is offered based on a valid score in CLAT or LSAT India
• For courses such as BA in Liberal Arts, BDes, BSc in Finance, BBA, among others, admission is based on NPAT exam conducted by the deemed-to be University

PG courses

• For all MBA and PGDM programmes, the deemed-to-be University conducts NMAT exam for admission followed by a PI round and case discussion
• For PG programmes such as MPT, MSc, and Integrated MSc + PhD, candidates are required to appear for an entrance test conducted by NMIMS followed by an interview
• Admission to LLM is offered based on a valid score in CLAT (PG) or NMIMS Written Test followed by an interview
• Admission to MTech is granted on the basis of a valid score in MTech

PhD courses

• Selection to PhD is subject to qualifying a Written Test conducted by NMIMS. Candidates qualified in UGC-NET (including JRF)/ UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/ SLET/ GATE/ teacher fellowship holder or have passed MPhil are exempted from NMIMS entrance test.
• The entrance test step is followed by a Personal Interview round which is mandatory for all. Candidates need to give a presentation based on their SOP and must discuss the topic of their research during the interview

Diploma and Certificate courses

• Admission to all the diploma and certificate is subject to a valid score in the last qualifying exam
• Candidates seeking admission must meet with the minimum eligibility criteria set by the deemed-to-be University

Courses

NMIMS Mumbai offers UG, PG, doctoral, diploma and certificate programmes among multiple fields such as Engineering, Arts, Science, Law, Management, Accounting and Commerce, Design, Architecture, etc. The duration for a majority of UG courses such as BA, BSc, BA in Liberal Arts, BPharma, BTech, BArch and BDes, among others ranges between three to five years. The duration for integrated courses ranges from five to six years and the duration for PG courses ranges from two to three years. The duration for all diploma programmes is one year and for certificate courses, it ranges from six to 11 months.

SVKM’S NMIMS Mumbai campus has a Central Sector Scheme of scholarships for college and university students that offers financial support to the economically weak students (general, SC, ST communities and physically handicapped categories).
