● Tamilnadu Vanniyakula Kshatriya Public Charitable Trust and Endowments
Board have been established.
● A Government order is released for the backward classes including Piramalai Kallar
to get the opportunities from central and state Government.
● The fund for the mosque maintenance have been increased to Rs.5 crore and the
monthly pension for Ulemas was also increased to Rs.3000/-
● A Hajj house has been established in Chennai for the convenient of Hajj travellers
● The fund for the renovation works of the churches has been increased to Rs.5 crore.
● “Annual grant of Rs.6 crore is being sanctioned to Muslims for Hajj Pilgrimage
from 2018. During the year 2018,
● Rs.6 crore has been sanctioned and financial assistance provided to 3,769 Hajj
Pilgrims. From the year 2019 Financial assistance is being credited into the bank
accounts of 4,397 Hajj Pilgrims. “
● Own building for 86 Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes, Denotified
Communities and Minorities Hostels constructed at a total cost of Rs.97.85 crore
have been inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu
● Financial Assistance of Rs.1.20 crore perannum to 600 Chrisitiansand nuns/sisters
for undertaking Pilgrimage to Jerusalem is being provided. Number of beneficiaries
in the Jerusalem Pilgrimage Scheme has been enhanced from 500 to 600 perannum
from the year 2018-2019 and 50 seats for Nuns/Sisters. Additional expenditure of
Rs.20 lakh has been sanctioned. So far, 4,128 Christians have performed this
Pilgrimage.
● Under Economic Development Schemes such as supply of Iron Boxes, Sewing
Machines and House site pattas are distributed to Backward Classes, Most
Backward Classes and Denotified Communities beneficiaries subject to the
condition thatannual income limit should not exceed Rs.40,000 in Rural Areasand
Rs.60,000 in Urban Areas. In order to increase the number of beneficiaries, both
Rural and Urban beneficiaries’ annual income ceiling limit has been enhanced to
Rs.72,000.
● In 2017-2018 Orders have been issued providing Rs.13.07 crore to improve
infrastructural facilities in Kallar Reclamation Schools with NABARD Assistance
and works are under progress.
