The Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Allahabad was established in 1961 as one of the seventeen regional engineering colleges in India. In 2002, MNNIT was conferred with the status of deemed University. It is recognised by the UGC and approved by the AICTE.
The deemed University is an Institute of National Importance and offers BTech, MTech, MBA, MSc, MCA and PhD programmes in various specialisations. Apart from UG, PG and PhD programmes, MNNIT also offers short-term and summer training courses in the field including, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mechanical Engineering and many more. The deemed University has a huge library with over 1,22,600 books and bound periodicals. There are seven hostels for boys and two hostels for girls. MNNIT provides accommodation facility to over 1800 boys and 145 girls.

Admission Process
Admission process for various UG and PG courses offered by MNNIT differs depending on the stream. Candidates willing to pursue BTech need to appear for JEE Main conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). Interested candidates can apply for admission to UG and PG programmes in online mode. - Selected to part-time MTech is based on MNNIT entrance test followed by Personal Interview (PI) round conducted by the deemed University

- For admission to MSc programme, valid score in IIT JAM is required

Courses
The deemed University offers BTech, MTech, MCA, MSc and MBA programmes in various specialisations. The eligibility criteria for admission to BTech programme is set by Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB).
