Admission Process

- IIT Hyderabad BTech admission is based on a candidate’s JEE Advanced rank followed by JoSAA Counselling
- Students applying for the BTech programme need to clear the JEE Main and JEE Advanced exam with good scores
- Candidates interested in applying for the MTech programme need to clear the GATE exam
- Applicants interested in the MDes programme need to present a valid CEED score
Furthermore, candidates can directly apply to any of the doctoral programmes after their BTech or BE if they have a valid GATE score. The doctoral programme in IIT Hyderabad accepts applications twice a year.
IIT Hyderabad allows its BTech students to pursue a second major in any discipline of their choice. To do so, students need to earn extra credits from any other department of choice.
