What is a minute?

Minute is a short period of time. We can’t remember all minutes. And we don’t need to do it. But some persons, mostly woman, say: “Wait a minute”. Are you patient to wait a minute, which can spread to half an hour or more? Imagine, that somebody says: “Wait a minute”. Then  your patience is tested few days. It is disaster.

Minutes in a day calculation

One day has 24 hours, one hour has 60 minutes, so:

1 day = (24 hours/day) × (60 minutes/ 1 hour) = 1440 minutes/day

1 day is not 24 hours! It’s a bit less. Actually for minutes less than 24 hours. So, one day is 23 hours and 56 mts.

23 hours =23×60 minutes,

Hence 23 hours is 1380 minutes.

One day is 23 hrs and 56minutes.

This 1 day = 1380+56 mts

Finally, we get, a day is equal to 1436 mts

Easy. First, you need to know this:

  1. That a day has 24 hours
  2. And a 1 hour has 3600 seconds

Now, you’ll multiply the two.

24*3600 = 86.400 seconds!

Since the results is in seconds, you have to divide that by 60 (a minute) to convert it to minutes.

86.400/60 = 1,440 minutes

There you have it.

Hope I helped, Cheers mate!

Or you can just forget all of this and multiply 24*60 = 1,440 minutes

There it is.
