How to Check the UIDAI Aadhaar Card Status Online by enrolment number

Check if your Aadhaar is generated or updated (In case you have updated at an Enrolment/Update center).

You will require EID (Enrolment ID) to check your Aadhaar Status. The EID is displayed on the top of your enrolment/update acknowledgement slip and contains 14 digit enrolment number (1234/12345/12345) and the 14 digit date and time (dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm:ss) of enrolment. These 28 digits together form your Enrolment ID (EID).

In case if you lost EID you can retrieve lost or forgotten EID by your registered mobile number.

The applicant can check the status of his Aadhaar card online by visiting the online portal of UIDAI official website. There is no fee/charges to check Aadhar card status on UIDAI’s official website. Follow the given steps below to check the application status of your Aadhaar card online:

Step 1: Go to Aadhaar card official website of UIDAI (https://resident.uidai.gov.in/check-aadhaar).

Step 2: Now, you will need your EID (Enrolment ID) to check the status of your Aadhaar.
Step 3: Enter your EID is available on the top of your enrolment/update acknowledgement slip which is a 14-digit enrolment number and 14-digit date and time of your enrolment (which is optional).
Step 4: Enter the ‘Captcha Code’ for verification.
Step 5: Click on ‘Check Status’.
Step 6: You can download e-Aadhaar by clicking on the Download Aadhaar option.
Step 7: In case you want to get your Aadhaar on mobile, you can select the Get Aadhaar on Mobile option.
Step 8: The status will be sent on your registered mobile number

Steps to Check Aadhaar Card status without Enrolment Number

In case you have forgotten your enrolment number or have misplaced your acknowledgement slip, you can find your enrolment number and then check Aadhaar card status with enrolment number. Here’s how to check Aadhar card status without enrolment number:

Step 1: Visit https://resident.uidai.gov.in/lost-uideid to retrieve your enrolment number

Step 3: Now, enter the important details such as your name, email address, mobile number and security code to send an OTP to your registered mobile number.
Step 4: You need to enter the OTP received and click on ‘Verify OTP’ option.
Step 5:  Upon verification, your Enrolment number/Aadhaar will be sent to your registered mobile number and email address.
Step 6: Using this enrolment number, the applicant can check the status of Aadhaar.

Alternatively, you can enter TOPT ( time-based one time password) generated by an algorithm which is valid only  for 30 seconds and is available on m-Aadhaar mobile app.
