Flying from India
Please check the travel guidelines of your destination country to know about COVID-19 PCR test and other requirements. For countries requiring a Covid-19 PCR test, a test must be issued from one of the approved laboratories.
Flying to India
Following passengers are allowed to travel to India:
- Indian nationals
- Nepal and Bhutan nationals
- Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and PIO cardholders. OCI cards must mention old passport number and passengers have to travel both with their old and new passports.
- Foreign nationals (including dependents) on any visa except on Tourist visa.
Travel Guidelines:
Effective 22nd February, all passengers are required to:
- Conduct COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours of flight departure time and upload the negative result to Air Suvidha portal. Passengers will also be asked for the negative result at the time of check-in.
- Passengers who are travelling due to death in the family are allowed to travel without PCR test. They should apply for exemption to Air Suvidha portal 72 hours before the flight. The passengers will be required to show the approval to the respective State counters after arrival so they can be prioritized for Covid-19 PCR test sample collection in the designated area before leaving the airport.
- Submit self-declaration form at Air Suvidha portal before the flight. Check-in staff at departure airport and health staff at the arrival airport may ask to see the form.
- Download the Aarogya Setu mobile application before the flight.
- Go through confirmatory molecular tests upon arrival. Passengers should be carrying sufficient funds for the test.
If you are flying to Mumbai: Passengers who have taken two doses of the covid-19 vaccine will be allowed to do home quarantine if the officer on duty allows it. They need to apply for exemption at Air Suvidha portal and carry the proof of vaccination in the form of original certificate or on mobile application. Other passengers are subject to mandatory institutional quarantine for 7 days at their own cost upon arrival. Passengers will be tested between 5th and 7th day and, if found negative, will be allowed to complete remaining 7 days of quarantine at home. If found positive with no symptoms, institutional quarantine period will be extended with 7 more days.
If you are flying from Sharjah, please also submit the Registration form 72 hours before the flight.
If you are flying to Chennai & Coimbatore: All passengers are required to arrange for Tamil Nadu e-pass.
If you are flying to Kerala: All passengers are required to submit their information to Covid-19 Jagratha before the flight.
If you are flying to Bengaluru from Sharjah: All passengers are required to submit the Registration form 72 hours before the flight.
