The University of Colorado Boulder Commonly called CU Boulder, is a public research institution of higher education. In the year 1876, to provide money for the formation of the University, the Colorado territorial governing body approved an amendment to the state constitution. In 1877, there were only 65 students.

- Freshman housing has a variety of room types and programs termed Residential Academic Programs(RAPs) and Living Learning Communities (LLC) which we have limited availability of singles and rooms with non-community bathrooms
