The Based in Ohio’s Cleveland, Case Western Reserve University is a highly-ranked private research university that was established in 1826. The university came into existence with the Federation of the Western Reserve University and Case Institute of Technology. Initially, it was situated in Hudson, approximately 48 km southeast of Cleveland. However, the campus was moved to uptown Cleveland in 1882. The university took its name from Connecticut Western Reserve, the surrounding region of the institute. It is affiliated to AAU, URA, AICUO, and NACAC.
The university campus is situated about 30 miles southeast of Cleveland. It is spread over 155 acres and constitutes of the Case Quad and Mather Quad. The Case Quad consists of science and engineering buildings, administration buildings, Nord Hall, and the Strosacker Auditorium. School of Dental Medicine, School of Engineering, School of Medicine, and Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing dwell in this quad. The southernmost corner of the Case Quad has athletic spaces like Adelbert Gymnasium, the Veale Center, and Van Horn Field.
