The PSG College of Technology (PSGCT) was founded in 1951 by the PSG & Sons’ Charities Trust. It is a private college that holds the accreditation of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to Anna University. The autonomous, government-aided institution consists of 15 technology and engineering departments along with separate departments of computer applications, basic science, management sciences and humanities. It offers numerous UG-level BTech and BSc programmes, PG-level MSc, MTech, MCA and MBA programmes and research-level PhD and M.Phil programmes. Also, it offers M.Sc. integrated programme with various specializations.

Admission Process

To apply for admission at PSGCT, aspirants will have to fill an application form along and pay the applicable registration fee. The application process can be completed online as well as the form can be downloaded and submitted at the campus.

Admission to BE and B.Tech programmes can be sought through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling, which is conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE).

The college grants admission in the ME and M.Tech programmes through the TNEA counselling by DoTE on the basis of GATE or TANCET scores. The admission to MBA and MCA programmes is granted through the TNEA counselling based on a candidate’s TANCET score. Students are admitted to B.Sc. and M.Sc. programmes through an online test and interview.

Placements

The college has a placement office that conducts campus recruitment for well-reputed national and multinational organizations. It frequently conducts written tests, pre-placement talks, mock interviews and practice group discussions to enhance students’ employability. The placement office strives to guide students on their journey of pursuing career goals. More than 90 prestigious domestic and international companies visit the campus annually for taking part in campus recruitment drives. India Today ranked the institution no. 1 amongst the country’s top 15 technical institutes for the placement offers received by its students.
