IIT Tirupati-The foundation stone of the Indian Institute of Technology, Tirupati was laid in March 2015. Built-in Yerpedu, Chittoor District, the IIT campus is spread over an area of 530 acres. The operations of the first academic year, 2015-2016, were conducted with the support and guidance of IIT Madras. Since the college is relatively new, it has not been given any ranking yet.
- The college offers courses in both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. All the bachelor’s courses are 4-year full-time courses including BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering
- The Master’s courses are full-time courses of 2-year duration including MSc in Mathematics and Statistics, MS by Research In Electrical Engineering, MS by Research in Civil Engineering and MS by Research in Mechanical Engineering.
The fees of the BTech course if Rs 8.32 lakh which is subject to revision by the college authorities.
IIT Tirupati Admission Process
The admission process of IIT Tirupati is mentioned below:
- IIT Tirupati BTech admission is based on a candidate’s JEE Advanced rank followed by JoSAA Counselling
- Admission in MS Research requires a merit score in GATE and further clearing the interview or written test in some cases
- A valid GATE score is needed to apply for MTech. If a student has earned 80 per cent marks in BTech from IIT, the GATE score is not required
- Candidates with a valid GATE/UGC NET/ CSIR NET/ NBHM score are eligible to apply for PhD.

IIT Tirupati Scholarships
Merit cum Means Scholarship is for the meritorious students admitted to BTech courses whose annual income of parents is below Rs 4.5 lakh. For the SC/ST students, the mess charges are reduced by Rs 8000 per semester, lodging is free and Rs 250 is given as a monthly allowance.
